From anyone observance the conclusion can be reached that humans are terrible at acting as one organism. Though the unity required by progress is morally idealistic, it is virtually unachievable due to the almost ubiquitous adherence to a mentality of individualism (I know, that phrase is a bit of an oxymoron), the financial inabilities to save energy most effectively, the red tape that surrounds the issue, and, in my case, a lethargic and antipathetic view towards the matter, and its lack is no cause for offense or question.?

The trains produce a lot of foul exhaust right beside where you wait, but light up a smoke? You're a criminal.
