Low? yes....New? no... It's bad that these things happen, but you don't have to pretent like it's unique in order to get more viewers..
I've spent a lot of time doing research for an essay I'm writing involving the young and convicted in this country.A vast majority of these issues are perpetrated at the incarceration level. It's very unlikely that a young offender who is sentenced to life without parole got that way because of bad wiring at birth (I'm not saying it doesn't happen, just that by and large those who become apart of the system stay in the system until they are put there indefinitely). Most of the time, it's issues that our criminal justice system creates all on its own because of how we treat our prisoners in this country.I'd like to get into the non violent offenses that can carry ridiculous penalties (namely the use, possession, or distribution of drugs) - but I'd be up all night writing in this comment box and sticking one to how we federally view drugs in this country. (Hint: It's all ***** wrong).!

In most cases I'm against the death penalty, but in cases like this where the killings were indiscriminate and unprovoked, and guilt is known beyond even reasonable doubt, all I can say is good riddance!

I never said anything about ignoring the rules, or even whether I believe the girl was in the right or not. I was simply commenting on the original reply saying that "America has its own culture which has precedence over foreign cultures and that a city shouldn't modify its rules for foreigners"

So from your living room, after reading one article, you're saying that veterinary professionals who have paid for years of schooling for the sole purpose of dedicating their lives and careers to saving animal's lives, in a highly public case where a large crowd had a vested interest in seeing that animal survive, just took a quick look and said "WTF, looks like a goner to me. Shoot him up, I have a train to catch."I've seen some absurd armchair quarterbacking on Digg, but you may well take the prize.

Only two types of ads bother me:1) Flash ads which cover the part of the page you want to read and have hidden/apparently non-existent "close" buttons, and2) Pages which will not display until the ad is loaded, and the ad server is bogged down.
