The sort of low-temperature combustion of military waste in burn pits that's going on here can easily create all sorts of really, really, really nasty stuff in the smoke coming off of it. Any time something with carbon and chlorine and and hydrogen gets burnt, the molecules get rearranged. Unfortunately, some of them get arranged into dioxins. Dioxins are not fun stuff at all.But what can one do? The trash needs to be disposed of. Having some sort of incinerator that goes with a unit might make sense, even for now, an expedient sheet-metal contraption that has some sort of secondary air induction (e.g. a solar powered blower) to burn off the evolved volatiles and a stack height of 20 feet or so - or something like that - would be better than nothing. One could probably rig it up using scrap metal and some welding in any sort of encampment that's going to last more than a few days. Wouldn't cost much either.Hopefully they'll find something, because the sort of junk that comes off burning chlorinated plastics is not what our soldiers should be breathing.!

Nothing wrong with this. The reason why you lift the dog up is that in order to get the dog to be submissive, he needs to be put into a prone position with it's neck exposed. If you just try to force the dog to roll over you could end up breaking one of the dogs legs. Have you ever tried to roll an extremely strong puppy over? Very tough to do without exerting force that feels as though it will harm the animal. He's not slamming the dog down like a wrestler.
