| I am with you. Some people just have bad handwriting, but the fact that it was a written letter and not a form letter shows that he cares at least a bit. |

I hear your question, and here's my answer:Nothing gives you the right to benefit from my hard work. However, if I want to live in a peaceful, stable society, it is in my own best interest to chip in.That concept may make some people's skin crawl. They'll call me a collectivist. But if they interact positively with anyone who received a public education, anyone who has been protected by the police or assisted by firefighters, driven on roads, lived in a country safe from external military invasion, anyone who has ever collected unemployment or social security, then they are hypocrites. The chances that they've paid their fair share or more is slim. Many of the social services that the government provides are absolutely critical to our country's stability and growth, and they are provided by the government precisely because no non-governmental organization took the job.You can go too far with social services of course, and so we have to be careful about that, but this recently over-promoted idea that we'd be better off if it was 100% every man for himself is absolutely myopic. If one really believes that, then they should go someplace where there is no government intervention. What you will find is that these places are usually subsistence farmers if you're lucky and warlord territories if you're not. There is no successful society on earth that does not practice some degree of collectivism. So I guess another way to answer your question: you have the right to benefit from my hard work because it helps me live in a stable country.Working out the details of how much is what all the debate is about. Dismissing it entirely is idiocy.
The McDonalds one seems like a bad idea. Should make that font a bit bigger at the bottom.

“As an absolutist atheist who regularly tries to convert people (especially the hot young ones), I can tell you that you are correct. However, when consistently strong patterns emerge in life, I like many other atheists tend to anticipate the same results (99% of the tests turn up negative, you can surmise that the final test will be negative too). This is a matter of faith, I'll grant you that, but there will never be absolute proof to debunk any fairy tale, so if atheism is to advance as a philosophy, we must make a couple assumptions. That said, I am not apologizing. Atheists are the most discriminated against minority group in America: http://newsjunkiepost.com/2009/09/19/research-find ...In order for attitudes to change, atheists must be bold (and respectful).

Stimulus = borrow from the future, which means the bad times aren't so bad, they just last a really long time, this stability means whoever currently has the monetary power can retain it better, while we all have a ***** time with no hope of anything really changing..

There is no way to investigate the allegations. The cop is accusing him of selling photos to terrorists. If he says he isn't, what can the cop do, in the subway station, to prove otherwise? Not only is it a completely baseless allegation, but neither the cop or the photographer can prove either side of the argument.?
Well a lot of media allows you to create a set number of back ups for 'protection of your purchase'. It would seem providing the back up media would be fine as it is in itself not criminal. But I'm not sure if there are specific disclaimers in Nintendo's EULA that state you can't copy the games whatsoever or attempt to run any non-stock app on the DS?I rip a lot of my DS and PSP games so I can put them on one Cyclo cart or memory stick to save having to carry around a bunch of games I already own. Plus with the PSP it improves the battery life by not running off a UMD. |

The BONG tweets appear to be feed from an API. So if that person does have a lot of time on their hands, not much is going towards managing this.
